Yes it is quite different, but it is still a great album, Nanna’s voice is beautiful. And I disagree completely that this album is generic, far from it. There is nothing wrong with mixing it up here and there, rather than having to make a segment of fans feel every song is off the same album.
Not so happy
I expected better from this band
Wars and alligator are 🔥 but rest is 💩

It’s solid with a few great tracks. Some mediocre.
Another amazing band that has a great thing going and then.....poof, changing to appeal to the masses with a pop sound. Bring back the folk and then I’ll be back. Because I’m out with this junk.
Another great band that a couple albums in sounds just like everything else. It’s too bad.

I absolutely love waiting for the snow it’s breath taking and brilliant
Not horrible, I just fell in love with their music because of the Little talks album. Just wish there was more of that sound.
Different sound and a poor attempt.
If you had told me this was a different band I would have believed you. They went pop and did a sound that a lot of indie bands are already doing much better. Here is to hoping we see a return to the folk roots, but I have to imagine that is not going to happen.
Why the dramatic change up?

It’s kind of sad. Why don’t bands stay the course after making a killer album? Take Chromeo for example. Year after year they come out with killer albums, staying in their lane..... creating songs that could very well be on the same massive album. It is what fans want. OMAM has now followed the path of Mumford&Sons and Arcade Fire..... switching from a great Organic sound that is unique, to a mainstream approach that is too poppy and electronic. This album is a mediocrity.
